depends on what you're willing to sacrifice.

I have been thinking about this and there appears to be an easy way to lose a little weight and only harder ways to lose a lot of weight.

Easy way - reduce 'unsprung weight' by using Real Racing Wheels or Diamond Racing Wheels instead of stock or most aftermarket rims. Downside is sizing issues (it's not easy to find 17-inch and larger racing wheels) and styling plus legal issues (I believe that most racing rims are not street-legal.) While you won't lose a lot of weight it will be in the crucial area of unsprung weight.

Easy way #2 - lose your spare tire. That's what Infiniti Roadside Assistance is for (or Triple A!) This is not unsprung weight unfortunately, but it is very easy to do. I do it every time I AutoX my coupe.

Hard way - my first impression is that to avoid big money costs of using alloy replacements for engine parts or fabricating plastic body panels to replace sheet metal is to yank the back seat. That might lose you up to a couple hundred pounds depending on how aggressive you are with the removal and how concerned you are with the appearance.

If you are losing weight to race the coupe - AutoX or track - you might not care about appearances, but if you are just doing it for general handling on the street you will probably want to be a bit conservative on how much you gut the interior.

Hard way 2-? - replacing front seats with racing seats, stripping interior down to metal, removing a/c, stereo, speakers, amps, NAV and SAT, basically making your car into a racing machine.

Good luck - the coupe (and the Z too) are kinda porky - but boy, are they sweet chubbettes!

what about getting rid of all the sound dampening material? im assuming thats what makes up a lot of the G's weight seeing as its more luxury than the Z.
