Default G35 window (not your usual window problem)

hey everyone,

i know there are a lot of threads regarding the driver window issue with these cars, and yes i know i need a new motor i have had it checked out before.
it use to work slightly and sometimes i use to tap on the door when it got stuck and it worked again.

Now my issue is that the window is now completely stuck. its open about half way now my issue is i have to go on a 5 hr drive tomorrow night and i was wondering if there is a way to open the door panel and roll or pull the window up manually? i just dont have time to go to a shop now and i need to make this drive down to LA.

if there are any solutions let me know.

thanks everyone!

With an electric window and its regulator assembly you cant just force or manually roll up the window. If you were able to you would def kill the regulator assembly and that can only be bought at the dealer...and its not cheap like the motor is.

You might be able to remove the motor and clean it out. You might as well replace the motor at that point though... it's about a one-hour/beer job.

FYI you can manually roll the window up if you have the patience and small hands. Keep the motor attached to the regulator, remove the motor cover (3 extremely small screws) and manually turn the assembly that you see once you remove the motor...3 months too late, I know but this should help others in the future. I had to do this after my window was stuck halfway down after a black friday sale last year.

You can remove the motor and use a 3/8 drive ratchet to manually raise the window. then tape it up or however you choose.
