I wonder if it would directly fit on the G35 coupe?

Agreed, however I have a k&n typhoon intake installed on my 2005 non revup 350z and if I could do it again I would probably just get the stock air box from an 06 revup with the velocity stack and k&n drop in filter and call it a day (in your case a stock z tube is also a common upgrade when doing the air box upgrade on a g)
