Infiniti Q50 (new G37) first look and sound! (Video teaser inside)
Sigh. Yes Netko...everyone knows you have a Viper now. No more need to name drop. LOL Bastard. I'm just jealous.

As a side note, I was looking in Automobile magazine and there was a brief mention that the new Z could share underpinnings with the MB SLK.
So based upon that... they have that 1.8L Turbo 4 that would go into the MINI Z and rumors of a 3.0v6TT are out there
From a related article:
Finally, the video also reveals the metallic growl of the Q50’s engine, which is expected to be an updated version of the 3.7-liter V-6 engine found in the outgoing G37. A four-cylinder diesel sourced from Mercedes may be offered in other markets, and a hybrid option may eventually follow as well. Of most interest to performance fans is the possibility of a high-performance IPL version of the new Q50 sedan (the current IPL models are limited to the G37 coupe and convertible bodystyles).
IMHO

My expectations are extremely low on the near future Infiniti line-up, to me they seem to have lost all the momentum they gained with the G35 coupe and FX series since their debut.
I hope it looks nothing like the awful concept that was in their booth at the LA Auto Show. They've gone over the top with the organic lines. I don't have a lot of hope for this, powertrain or otherwise.

Completely unnecessary and asinine IMO. The old system made much more sense and each model developed its own brand recognition with consumers.
