Default Good price? Decisions to make

I'm in the market for a new (to me) car and I have some options. I have 15k cash, and would be open to taking out another to getting a loan for another 5k if the right car comes up. I'm 28, And have aspirations of buying a house/apartment in the next 5 years. I still have a few thousand in the bank, and would

Option1 - found an immaculate 07 350z touring coupe, 40k on the odometer, navi, leather, manual. Beautiful car. Cost -18k

Option 2 - 05 g35 coupe with 105k on it. SedAn, no Bose. Owned by a very responsible owner (my father).

Option 3 - look for a low mileage 05-06 Z for 14-15k

Is it impractical to purchase the 07 z, own it for 3-4 years, And think if id able to sell if for around 13-14k? I want option 1 the most, the g35 is the makes the most sense money wise, option 3 is both fun and smart money wise, but prolly won't have much resale value down the road. Any advice you guys could give would really help me out. I've been racking my brain over this for a few weeks and need to come to a decision that won't cripple my future aspirations. Thanks guys

You use or infer the term, resale several times. To me that means to me you
just want a car(a Z is just not ANY car) to run around in and be able to recoup
some of your investment to buy a apt etc in the future. Most of us that
buy Z's(and the purpose for this forum)work on our cars.
We change e'm.Don't expect much of a return on $$'s spent on mods.
When a newbie joins up,there is always this wish list of mods(most they will never do
or can't afford lol)BEFORE they buy the car.
I'm seeing none of this in your post.
Take your dad's G(spring for a sound system, that seems to be important).

Dude if your dad's car has been well maintained, you should jump on it. I would imagine you would get the "best deal" from your dad by far, lol!

Take your savings and strip out the entire factory nav/stereo and put a nice aftermarket NAV headunit, amp, speakers and sub.

You might actually find that backseat comes in handy (especially if this is to be your only car).

***just thought of this, check insurance rates on the G35 vs the Z, I bet the G35 will be cheaper, maybe considerably so.

Well for the insurance rate on the g would be much cheaper. Your talking about a sports luxury car compared to just a sports car. Just having back seats will help you out.
