The intructions are kinda weak that JWT included. I did mine the way i thought it was suppose to be done. I never took out the MAF sensor. However i did take out part of the z-tube so i had more room to unscrew and screw the bottom bolts of the filter.

Jason,

I installed my "Z" tube finally and I'm VERY pleased.

Thanks for the step by step.

I'm debating the POP charger now.

Z-Tube and POP Charger on a G35C or S give you about 7-9 to the wheels...

You wouldn't happen to have sounds of the stock g35 vs. your z-tube/pop charger modded g35?

I'm strongly considering this mod as well as a super charger, but I want to be as close to stock sound as possible. I really really do not want any popping sounds coming from the exhaust, smooth as possible, if that makes any sense.

Thanks,
-Chris

Compared to the sound of a supercharger this mod doesnt change the sound of the car very much at all...

The sound will be fuller from the engine bay at full throttle and you will have little PSSSSP's when you tap the accelerator... If you keep the stock exhaust you wont get any pop's from the exhaust... technially they are happning but the stock cats and stock exhaust baffel the sounds...

you may want to look into more quiet mods like the Z-Tube / Pop Charger / Crank Pulley.

I really appreciate the information and opinions. Thanks a lot!

Was that word doc ever posted? I can't find it if it was.

Thanks again!

somebody mentioned that the Z tube/pop charger install is subject to sucking water when raining, etc. any truth to that? if so, is that true of most CAI setups in the Z/G?
