Default remote start - python??

anybody have experiences with the python 881 2-way alarm? the installer said he wouldn't have to dismantle my dash. is this true? hopefully you guys can chime in on what your opinion is on the best remote start alarm.

i'm located in san diego and have a coupe 5AT. thanks for any feedback.

I've had Directed Electronics (they make the python) starters and/or alarms in my last 5 cars and I've used the same starter in 3 of those (taken it out of old car and put it in new). I currently have the starter/alarm combo in my wifes car and have had no problems. I'm not familiar with the model your talking about, but Directed Electronics makes good stuff.

If the installer knows what he is doing then he won't have to dismantle the dash. he will have to get to the wires under the steering wheel and above the pedals though.

Try a Viper 791. You have an automatic, correct?

well, i finally got my remote start alarm . i just searched the yellow pages and surveyed a couple shops that were in the vicinity of an infiniti dealership. of course, i chose the installer i trusted the most after inquiring at 5 different shops.

they had me thinking of viper / python, audiovox, and compustar. i opted for the compustar 2wss and i couldn't be any happier (even after 7 hours of watching the poor guy install the alarm). i got remote start, tilt sensor, window up / down, and trunk pop. they even installed the little "knock knock" sensor which is pretty cool. hopefully none of my friends will abuse this . .
