Dear 001,
I heard from my internal Infiniti source that the 2005 G35 sedan and coupe will have some major revisions:
1. 20 hp more HP…280 and 300 respectively.
2. Revised/upgraded interiors from the b-pillar forward.
3. More features standard for the same price
4. New wheel styles
5. Better stereo

Sorry couldn't resist only have 13 payments left.

Mmm so that means the Z would have 300 HP too.. Oh well, I already have more then that and will have even more.
But IMO I do not think this rumor is true. The car is only a barley 2 years old, to soon for a revision like this.

I don't think I believe it because the 2005s will be out THIS YEAR and no one else has heard a PEEP about this. We'd have seen the new car at car shows all ready. Maybe this will be true for 2006.

WashUJon i'm pretty sure New York Auto Show will be the 1st show for Car Companies to show off their new 2005 cars (and that's prolly the reason why everyone talks about the New York Auto Show so much...)
So....i'm sure the car show u had and saw was for 2004 cars
(like in Vancouver, i just went to the Auto Show today at BC Place and although all the different car companies were there but they all just showed their 2004 cars or their concept cars...)
so It'lll be a week from now before the truth be reveiled

We've already seen plenty of 2005s at the Detroit and Chicago auto shows, including 2005 Nissans, like the Altima.

I doubt they'd do a 20hp increase because insurance starts to go up once you hit the 300 mark (correct me if I'm wrong). Wasn't the reasoning for making the Z in particular below 300 to keep insurance lower for potential buyers?
Looks to me that all the upgrades are true.

Went by my local dealer the other day, and they also confirmed the changes.

Does ANYONE actually have any real pictures of the 2005 G35C
cause all i've read so far are changes this and changes that... but i still yet to see any pics that show the change.

Well autospies is close to right. The actual press release for the 05' G35's is on nissannews.com with pictures. The coupe looks the same. The sedan gets the coupe's front end and new tail lights (they don't show a back pic though). Both get a slightly restyled interior with dash and door trim changes. Hopefully the gay orange stitching on the steering wheel will not make it to production. Both auto and 6-MT sedans get bumped to 277 hp. The coupe with autos remain 280hp. The 6-MT coupe gets an "estimated" 295hp. Infiniti is not guarenteeing any number right now on the 6-MT coupe. They are evidentally still working out the part changes. The 6MT coupes also will not be out until December, 3 months after the new sedans and auto coupes are out.
I saw two 2005 G35 sedans yesterday here in downtown Miami (Brickell Ave at 13th). The pictures you have seen posted on the Infiniti/Nissan site are dead on at least for the sedan - sans the double spoke rims. They have a 17inch version of the coupes 18 wheel. They look like 16 inchers in person. Interior much better, improved bolstering etc.. Headlight at least on the two sedans they were filming "do not" have projectors lenses, the housings are kind of fluted with some extra detailing. The look is subjective. As far as the tailights, the rear assembly shape is pretty much the same with 2 circular pattern LED settings in each lamp, as has been discussed here before.
Personally, the car looks almost main stream now at least in what I think is the premium package configuration. I am glad I have the OEM Aero kit, because the rawness of the 03-04's is missing IMHO:
Some of you will probably be running out to buy the new one. If so - do it for the interior luxury and added ammenities , or to a lesser degree horsepower - not the tailights just wait to swap. I think you guys will see what I mean when you see the car in person for yourself. I'm very happy with what I have and will look to going the M45 route. Look for the grey G35 sedans - not diamond graphite - but the other color on the tube soon. These guys had a police escort and everything. I guess it's good I decided to into the office on a Sunday, never expected to see that.
