Default My friend had his G35 broken into recently

He was out golfing and came back to find that all the windows were down on his G35C and all the various compartments were open. Luckily, he doesn't keep anything in the car, so nothing was stolen. The thieves basically removed the entire key cylinder and somehow got the windows to roll down. It all looked very easy, he has a few scratches around the door handle, but the cylinder looks like it came out fairly cleanly.

Anybody have any more info?

Very easy. Just touch one of the wires to ground and hold until the windows drop. Same function as when you put the key in and turn left and hold. I eliminated the ability for thieves to do this today by removing that function. Just cut one wire on the Z. Easy to get to also.

This is what I did to prevent this from happening.

i understand and agree with posting about how to prevent theft, but not how it can be done.
