Default daily driver G35 in snow (NY)

I am on LI and was wondering how the G35 (coupe or sedan) is in the snow. The search doesnt work otherwise I would search. How is it in the snow? I have a 01 vette right now so anything is gonna be better but I was wondering is it comfortable driving in the snow? I dont wanna be stressed on my 10 min comute if its flurries out...

if you have a g35 sedan with all-seasons, its still going to suck, but bearable. if you get a g35 sedan awd, then its obviously great. g35 coupe with 17" all-seasons, same as the rwd sedan, 18" with summer tires is going to be just as bad if not worse than your c5. if you want to get a g35 coupe with the 18" wheels, you MUST invest in snow tires... otherwise you'll be going nowhere, fast.

I have a coupe and drive my G all over the country - winter or not. I run Pilot Alpin 235X45X18 front and rear. They have lasted for about 23K miles and could easily get another winter out of them. I run the stock Pilot Sports in the summer (10K miles). The car works well with the winters in snow and ice. I actually prefer the nuetral handling the non-staggering gives. My only complaint is the front bumper can't take much abuse. It looks like the moon from all the FOD's.

sure i just was thinking of the next couple years if i get it. So if i were to get the coupe and a pair of snow tires it will handle pretty well? I'd get the AWD but its not in stick correct?

The 18" High Performance Summer Tires on the Coupe are really bad. I had an accident because I flat out couldn't stop. I have gone to Continental ContiExtremeContacts all around but had to change the front to 235x40x18 since no one makes and all season 225x45x18. I haven't had a chance to really try them out though since we have only had snow once on LI since I got them. They did fine on the occassion.

on further note - if you're stuck in a dusting or slush, the summer tires with VDC will be ok. Its when the snow sticks in excess to one inch that the problems arise.
