You should of spent the $175 on a basic grammar/english class. It would of been money well spent.

I don't have much sympathy for people that do illegal things and then blame the cops when they get nailed.

I've been known to drive faster than the posted limit. If I get caught I blame myself, not the cop.

While he most likely is 100% guilty of a tint violation, my problem with the officer forcing you to remove the tint on site has been that he probably doesn't not have the legal right to do so. Especially if the ticket has the option to plead not guilty and later appear in court. It is up to the court to decide guilt or innocence, not the officer on scene. Imagine if he decided that other parts of the car did not meet what he believed the guidelines of the law set forth and had you remove it right there. Everyone here should keep in mind that some of the parts that we are installing are "for off-road use only" which are illegal and, using the tint infraction logic, you could be forced to remove and discard them upon an officers request. He should issue the ticket and let a judge decide if you broke the law. I think it is just a power trip.

That's very nice of you. You tell the guy to pay for grammar lessons, and you are not any better!!! There's no such thing as "would of" it's "would have."

Thank you for listening (reading), I see it here so often, I just had to vent.

I could of told you about those Highland Park cops. Try getting 35% or 25% tints. It's not as noticeable. Two of my friends live in South River and are able to get around without being pulled over.

That is why you should do the whole window so they can't see the strip

That's nice, but your spelling of the f and b words is still incorrect. I think you have too many periods between the letters and the b word looks like a retard wrote it.
I can see now why your tint got scratched off. You probably mouthed off something stupid like that to the cop.

FOOL!!!

If the officer believes the tint will pose a safety hazard to the public, he can make you take it off on the spot. I also think it would be more prudent to take it off when you know its illegal then cause a scene and waste time.

Also, people who blame police officers for doing something they know is illegal are idiots. I don't think the PO made the law. Blame your officials. It's like people who yell at movie theater box office workers for the high movie ticket prices. It wastes time and makes you look like an ***.

I was pulled over for tint once. I wasn't asked to take it off. I went to court...The judge asked me had I removed the tint. I said yes. He said "charges dropped next case". Lesson learned....Refuse to take off your tint. I never took mine off. Right or wrong you should have your day in court.

Damn! I pass by Highland Park, NJ everyday to go to work. I know exactly what you're talking about. I once got pulled over for a ticket for going 35mph on a 25mph zone in Highland Park. The funny thing was the guy that pulled me over admittedly pulled 6 people before me in a span of 10 minutes! That is why I haven't tinted my car. I don't want to give more reason for those cops to pull me over. I already have no front license plate to start with!

Also, occasionally they set up a checkpoint near that road heading to Livingston college. They would stop every car and check if there's any violation. I was heading to work that day and I saw it ahead of me, so I made a quick detour and turned around.
