Trying to buy a g35c
Hey guys, since this is my first post i wanna say hi to everyone and hopefully i can contribute to the forum for years to come.
Ok heres my question. I am looking to buy a 5AT coupe. I went to the local infiniti dealership and the sticker price for the one i want was $34,595 (premium package and trunk mat). I checked the invoice for this and it was around $31,000. Is there any chance of me being able to negotiate somewhere in between these two amounts?? Ive been hearing that the dealerships have not been going below sticker price, is this true??
Im just trying to go into the dealership with as much info and facts as possible.
Thanks in advance for your help

I am sure you can always try to negotiate a better price, but I would not expect to see more than a 2000.00 reduction in price when purchasing a G35 coupe. My local Infiniti dealer sells them almost as fast as they get the cars. I am just waiting to sell my 350Z to buy a G35 coupe. I want the 6MT that is runs about 36,300, and the dealership is willing to take off only a thousand----IF I buy one that is in stock-----------Luckily for me I want the Black-on-Black. It is always in stock.
Thanks for the info
Anybody else want to help me out and post their experiences at the dealer when buying your g35c?? I just want more of an idea how much i can deal down the dealer. I am 21 with not that much money
and need to go into the dealership with a full arsenal so i can get the best price possible. thanks for the help

I believe the best way to buy a car is through a credit union. They NEVER pay MSRP for a vehicle and you generally get a good rate. I ended up paying 3% over invoice for my G.

well it is certainly possible - the real question is not really CAN they do it - more of WILL they do it.
g35 coupes are very easy to sell, so they don't necessarily need your business if others are willing to pay the price (it sucks but it's true)
try to find a larger volume dealer in your area and see if they can work something out with your budget.
i am thinking that i may pick up a g35c in the next couple of weeks, as i can get an amazing deal on one right now (i work for a large dealer group)
good luck with it!

If you're willing to wait until the end of the month, better still end of the quarter, you will likely get a great deal. I bought mine on 3/31, and got my 6MT for just above invoice. I was floored.
But then it could be a regional thing; they are not hard cars to sell and a dealer may not need to budge much off of MSRP.
BTW, a credit union is a financial institution that's often affiliated with the place you work... it's a lot like a bank; they float loans, have checking/savings accounts and often offer credit cards, etc..
