Default Prelude Mugen Spoiler

Hey Everyone,

Am I the only one here who is frustrated with the lack of body parts for our cars? For example, when you're in the Z portion of this site you can see at least 20 different types of body kits. For our cars, we only have maybe 7.

When I first purchased my car 5 months ago, I decided against getting the stock wing. I does look nice but I feel an aftermarket spoiler can potentially make your car really stand out from the crowd. 5 months later, no after market spoiler has caught my attention. I dont want the little lip spoilers such as the gialla or the huge veilside one.

So recently I have been thinking about maybe I should look into some universal wings, like the ones wingswest puts out.
I remembered that i used to like a particular wing that people used to put on preludes and i actually saw one on an accord yesterday.

Let me know what you guys think of this 'mugen" type spoiler on the g35 coupe. It looks like a sharper, a more square version of the OEM wing.

For now this is just an idea. Can anyone also comment on the fitment or other possible problems. Can I find body shops to shave it to make it fit???
thanks in advance for your input

Can't make any comment on the fitment, but I would say that the wing might look pretty good on the G. It's hard to tell since it's on the prelude though. I have a prelude myself, and I've always liked the Mugen wing on the prelude. Definetely post if you end up trying this little experiment of yours.

I'm pretty sure since it's "universal," a reputable body shop will be able to get it on the G and make it look good. However, as always, there will a price to pay and as for the amount- I'm not sure-but just know this, you will always get what you pay for. And you're right, there just seems to be a lack of parts for the G35...I think it's because they're nowhere near the popularity of the Z and RX8 in japan.

I personally think its too square shaped for the G35's body lines.

yeah this is going to be my lil experiment. shoot, if they dont make something i like..i might as well slap on something meant for another car.

well so far i got into contact with an ebay seller who seems like they sell lots of random wings. They are actually real close to me so i am going to drop by tomm to have them place that thing on my trunk. they said the prelude back is wider so they think the mugen style civic one would fit better.

so yeah, im sure im going to need to tweak/fabricate the wing a little to make it look right. does anyone have any suggestions on what shops are good at this type of thing. anywhere in the san gabriel valley, ca (home of the import)
