Default Tein Basics installed (PIX)

I finally got my Tein Basics installed at Street Image in Baldwin Park, CA. This is a very good shop, and i'm happy to say I've found a shop that i'll be turning to from now on. Eric is very professional, and a perfectionist when it comes to installs, and they have a lot of experience with 350Z's and G35's. Jeff (bobowah) also provided VERY competitive pricing. The install took about 1 1/2 hours, and the kinetix camber arms took a little bit of TLC to fit right. The rear is dropped to the maximum, but will still settle. After all of the components settle, i'll be getting a final adjusement, and an alignment to get my camber straightened out. Here are some pictures to get an idea of how low they go.

The ride was somewhat stiffer but in a very good way, feels very tuned and not sloppy at all. I am extremely happy with this kit. Now I just can't wait for them to settle so I can make all the final adjustments

aaron,
I'm glad you like the kit and install.

Please come again for those mods. the teins basics are a great coilover since the shocks are well suited to the springs...

If anyone else is interested in the Tein Basics and install please feel free to contact me jchen@streetimage.com

Your car looks really good. I've been looking all over for springs to drop my car but I can't decide on which ones I want. What would you guess the drop is on your car?

same as above.....

what's the drop (___ inches i mean)

i LOVE those wj=heels, but am afraid to goto 19's for the added weight (even if the wheels are no heavier than stock, the tires likely are.....)

do you have any tire w/wheel weights of the oem versus yours??

again, VERY nice setup, height, and choices!!

The front is lowered approx .08 inches and the rear is dropped 1 1/2 inches. I don't know too much about the weights, but I know the monoblock LE37s on my car aare amongst the lightest 19" wheels. I am also running Toyo T1-s's which are very light tires as well.

Very nice. Those rims and that drop make your car look so good.

Are the camber arms necessary with the TEIN Basics?

Camber arms are necessary depending on how low you want to go. I personally think they are necessary for my drop because its over an inch, but if you got a minimal drop perhaps, .06 inches, than the camber arms aren't necessary because your camber wouldnt be off by much.

(tein springs / springs on coilovers are guaranteed not to sag / "settle" more then 5mm for the first year)

((and really ever))

Camber arms are nice to have depending on your drop on your car. Also it depend on what you want. If you want the rear tires to be flat to the road and not have any negative camber then yes you will need them.

one of the reasons why these cars handle so well on the corners is the Negitive camber on the rear and front...

take that away, hello mustang handling...
