Arrow Tein Basic and CE28N's

okay all, here's some pics after the tein installation. i decided to go with the basics since 1)cheaper 2)didn't need the adjustability of the flex 3)the flex is a stiffer ride than the basics. i'm sure everyone has they're reasons, but those are mine and i'm stickin' to it

before:

after:

now if you notice, one side does look lower than the other. i used the reference settings on both sides, so it's kind of weird. anybody else have that problem hope you enjoy!

Awesome bro'. Don't change a thing. What offset, front and rear, do you have on the CE28N's?

i wouldn't go much lower with the fronts, as they may rub. i used the reference point for lower, and left it there. it's about 1-1.02in all around, but after they settle, it will be lower. you could probably go about .5in lower on the rear w/o rolling the fenders, but no guarantees, it especially depends on the wheel/tire combination you decide to use.

as for the wheels, the offset front and rear is +22.

as for installation, it could be very difficult w/o proper tools...a spring compressor is a must for the front, unless you have the patience and strength, to muscle the front suspension out of the lower control arm. the rears were no problem at all, pretty straightforward.

i got my tein basics from 350zOnlineStore. talk to bryan, he's a great person to deal with.

thanks everyone for the compliments! i may change the ride height to make the front more even with the back, but the spring rate will change so i will have to do more research.

nice wheels, can you take some pics from the back? i would like to see if the 10.5 back wheels stick out much or if it has any trouble with rubbing. The same pics of the fronts if while your at it if you can.

I have a coupe and Im looking into getting 19x9.5/19x10.5 set of volks too with a +22 offset

mine is lowered on eibachs pro kit..do you think i should have any problems with rubbing"?>

i will take some wheels sometime tomorrow. the 10.5in wheels out back don't stick out much, and you shouldn't have any problems rubbing granted you use a 275 out back and don't lower more than 1.5in.

ps-you shouldn't have problems with the eibachs.

the ride isn't that bad for day-to-day driving, if you look at the specs, the spring rate isn't all that aggressive compared to stock. also, there's no upper pillow ball mounts to transmit vibration throughout the vehicle (though they're optional), like the flex's.

no worries, glad you finally decided! oh, if you can, get 255's for the front (it'll give you a bit more sense of security and it'll help balance out the handling a bit).

when you put your coilovers in did you leave them the tein sets them up (i'm refering to the height) if you did,how much was left on the threaded body to go down?
i know you said you might be able to go 0.5" lower in the rear, but were afraid to rub-but what i want to know is if you had stocks on how much lower do you think the car would go if you were to lower the coilovers to their lowest setting?
thanks!

when i lowered it, i used the reference settings from tein. using these settings, you could go down approx. 1.0in front and 1.02in rear, since those points are from the bottom of the perch. but, you couldn't really go down any lower in the front w/o rubbing with the setup that i have. if you're running a similar setup, i wouldn't try it. if you had stocks on, you could pretty much slam the sucker since the tires are not that wide, 225 front and 245 rear. just remember that the more you slam it, the more screwed up the camber/toe settings will be.

i'm an idiot. regarding the "uneven" lowering, make sure you are on a LEVEL area before determining whether or not you are "even." turns out i am for now, but i have to wait until the springs do settle. i figure i'm going to give it about a month, then get the camber/toe adjusted. also, for those driving a lot, have you ever though about putting some weights on the passenger side to offset your own? that would promote even spring settling, until they have settled at least. this is only if you drive around alone a lot, which most of people probably do.
