Real 05 pics
center console looks funky... I like mine better (mainly because it doesn't have the titanium-look trim) - the wheels are OK, I don't think they look better than the old stock 18's, and they aren't staggered (wider) in the rear, so I don't think they made a good decision there... BUT, I really wish my car was that color - that is the PERFECT blue for me... I think I'm in love...

I dont think the interior looks better then my 03. Personally i think it looks cluttered. mines is more cleaner.
few comments on the 2005 G35 coupe.....
- wheels look nice... but they should have made them deep dish on the back like the BMW M3 does
- 5AT should be shifted over to the RIGHT and not left. Way to uncomfortable.
- they took away passanger side power plug..bad move
- display should have been dark like on the 03...i rather have it light up then be able to see everything through plastic.
- shifter looks too big... should be much lower and closer to the console.
- wish they could redisign the front bumper with a bigger opening for radiator....cough intercooler cough

From what I see the shifter looks short in the other pics. Also I think they put the power plug in another more reachable spot and I heard they add one now in the glove box. I was also told the are just beta models so the final model might inculde it. The back lights do look a little more upscale now tho. What they need to was make the coupes exaust look more like the Z or even the FX's exaust(wider looking) and for the sedan should have made the exaust a dual setup like the coupe or at least a little more like the one you see on the 04 Max on the one side that is you know what I am saying?

i think the shifter should be shifting to the left(the driver side) for manumatic....not 'away' from the driver....
they didn't switch the set-up from the Japanese model...that's probably why it's shifting 'away' from the driver instead of shiting 'towards' the driver....

So in Japan they actually have the same change like we do? Or is that only here in North America? Like 295hp?

Here's the Japanese Nissan webpage showing the 04 Skyline interior: http://www2.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/V35...TER/main1.html
You have to click the right pane under "coupe" to see the 5AT interior.

That's one of the biggest misconceptions about the Japanese spec Skylines. Check out the Nissan Japan site and you'll see that the Japan spec AT shifter move to the LEFT (passenger side). Nissan appearently believes that it's more ergonomical to move the shifter AWAY from the driver in MM mode. I tend to agree with that, but I know a lot of people don't. But for the US market, Nissan actually did "flip" the shifter around to accomodate LHD.

i think it's better to have the '+'(shift up) done by yanking the lever down, not up. and the '-'(shift down) should be pushing it up....
all the sequential gears for pros(rally, le mans) do this, but for some reason, it gets kinda mixed up in the production market...
maybe alot of people like this set up better? personally, i'd like it better the other way(my way)....just .02 cents.
