Nos Question....How much is too much????
Hey guys,
I was wondering whats the most someone has squeezed on a G/Z repeatedly without blowing up the engine....
I was thinking about a Dual Stage kit. A fogger kit, Direct port and a purging kit. But i really think that would be too much!!!! WHat shall i do? Rebuild? Yes i have thought about it but way too much money right now...
Whats a safe number that someone should shoot and be ok?? I wouldn't shoot this all the time. probably 5-7 times max..
Thanks
Ed

I'm not able to give you a direct answer to your question. But, I have ran Nitrous on one of my vehicles. I learned from my mistakes and hopefully you won't have to learn from yours.
When I bought my first nitrous kit I did it becuase I wanted my car to be fast but didn't want to spend the real money. After a few times of filling up the bottle, I noticed that it could become really expensive. Nitrous usually costs around $5-$6 per pound. Most nitrous kits come with a 10lb bottle. That's $50-$60 bucks a bottle! And, a bottle doesn't last that long. I was only using a 50 shot too. Most people use higher like.... closer to 100.
What I'm saying is, nitrous will make your car faster. But, after a while re-filling those bottles gets to be alot of money. Money that you could have spent on some more worth while mods. Mods that will always be there and not need a recharge.
Just something for you to think about when wanting "NOS".
