NOS Installed. Pics inside.
I installed a NOS brand single fogger wet kit yesterday. The install was done by Acosta Racing out of Bergen NJ. See their contact info below. They will be conducting a 350Z dyno shoot out vey soon, and Importlife will be filming this event for DVD 3.0. Stay tuned!
Onto the review and pics.
HARDWARE:
NOS Single fogger wet kit
Pinch Valve (Remote bottle opener)
Metallic Blue 10lb bottle
Bottle Pressure Gauge
Purge kit
bottle heater (on the way)
alumunim brackets (on the way)
upgrading to 100 shot after NY Auto Show
REVIEW: I chose NOS because of recommendation, brand, and many tuning shops recognize NOS more than any other brand on customer cars. Coincidentally Acosta Racing deals alot with NOS so I lucked out.
This was the 1st 350Z Acosta Racing has worked with so it took an entire day. I helped them towards the end to test and tune but we were in the shop 12 hours. But the learning curve is in effect and they told me future Z should be left 1 day overnight, depending on their capacity at the shop.
My current zetup is wide open throttle activation. So you arm the system, and when you floor it, the nitrous shoots into the intake.
Once i merged onto the highway I found a nice open lane and opened the fighter pilot switch and activated the NOS, then floored it.
Honestly the pull was very even and I almost couldn't tell the difference with a 50 shot. So Marcos, the installer, turned the system off and told me to floor it again on the engines stock power. As i was floored for 4-5 seconds, Marcos waited for the car to reach its torque curve and activated the NOS manually. I did feel a nice smooth boost push the car. Not abdrupt at all. AND NOT EXTREME ENOUGH FOR MY TASTES.
The chief mechanic told me most 4 bangers and smaller liter engines can see some nice gains from a 50 shot but he also mentioned that our 3.5 VQ can handle 100 shots all day.
The key will be the install and tuning for the fuel pressure.
Here are some pics. Acosta Racing info is in the bottom. Say Importlife sent you for some hookups.

I take the doubters/haters as the ultimate compliment. When people don't believe something is yours, you know you have something everyone wants.
So no worries here. Thanks for all the compliment guys.
Also I need to correct my post...I said "boost gauge" when i meant bottle pressure gauge, in the list of hardware.

That is the purge valve. Its a hollow wire frame that allows me to purge the line of air or anything else other than nitrous.

What's the purpose of the wire that looks like it heads towards the windshield wiper?

Hey VQracer, on that link you posted, they list the body kit priced at $1690. Do you think it's missing parts of the kit that you're listing? or a typo or something like that? Think that we'd still get 10% off of $1690?

that looks real nice.
u wouldnt happen to have a better picture of the fuel pressure switch would u?
i cant find the spot to hook it in, maybe they saw something i havent seen.
an overhead shot of it would be very nice, if u have one.
looks good
