Default Dual Intercoolers vs Single Intercooler?

I hear the JWT TT kit will include dual intercoolers for the G which fits perfectly on the oem front bumper, I was wondering what are the advantages and disadvantages of both dual and single intercoolers for the G35 ?

I am not someone in the know, but I have asked many people who do know what they're talking about this same question. They told me there won't be a difference in performance. Basically it will come down to the looks. Most people like to see a big FMIC sticking through the opening in the bumper. I am keeping my eye on the JWT kit and originally I was disappointed in the dual intercooler look but now I'm starting to like the stealth idea. I think the nismo bumper is shaped like the stock one but has bigger openings. I believe it was the Nismo, but somebody correct me if I'm wrong please. I've seen pics of SSR Engineering's kit on a G35 with dual intercoolers and you can see them stick through.

Default FMIC

The twin ICs offered by JWT should be fine for mild boost (<8psi) applications. The "T-coupler" which re-joins the exit ports looks to be very disruptive. It would have been much better to work radiused mandel bends bends in there.

If pure stealth is not necessary then the to be released APS kit iand it's FMIC a superior design.

The APS FMIC priovdes a much larger cross sectional flow and a shroter "drag" path. So basically JWT has compromised flow efficiency in order to keep the ICs behind the OEM bumper facia and ot use off the shelf ICs. The APS design will most definately flow better than that of JWT , PE and Greddy. It was designed from scratch for the Z/G application.

I intend to use the Stillen facia with the APS FMIC. Not an enormous departure from OEM , unlike the Top secret or Greddy facia designs.

The JWT dual is not a "real" dual intercooler setup it is just a big intercooler split into two.

The 300ZX has dual intercoolers where the two turbo flows are independent and have two throttle bodies as well.
