Default Trading '03 Z for new '04 G35c ?

I have kind of had it with the Z and actually NNA offered to buy it back through the BBB Arbitration process. After debating, I would lose more by selling it to NNA based on my trade in tax credit/basis.

Getting a new '04 Graphite G35c 6MTwith premium and Graphite leather. Dealer is having it shipped up from Houston to Dallas. It might be here today. Besides the obvious scratches and dings is there anything I should look out for on my inspection and test drive?

Any inherant problems that are common?

Should I be looking for a particular VIN for a starting point. I know the Z went through a change for 2004.5 models. Did the G?

Thanks,

EZCHIEF

Why are you switching from Z to G?

As my post stated, I had the offer to have them buy back my Z after 2 years, 43 repairs or attempts, and 18 trips to the dealer in 23 months. Final straw was it went fail safe mode twice in one week.

Nismochic, I had the '03 preorder number 1345 and it was in my case a dog. I have heard later versions were better. All cars have dogs so it just depends.

In my case, we have a 4 month old at home and the back seat area is helpful in case of emergencies.

Wow you had major probs - sorwee ! Well its too late now cuz I got my Z. Issues with special order parts got to me.

I must say it rides heavier , the G was smoother but at 23k miles the ride is equally as rough so that really doesnt bother me. I like my 04 Z now and thats all that matters

Thanks for your frank response.

Both cars have ****ty interiors that rattle. Going from Z to G or visa versa is a waste of money IMO. I may go from G to M3 or 911.

Yeah what a difference in service. They even came by on Monday to my office to pick up some paperwork my wife had to sign.

Free car washes anytime. Free rental car (an Infiniti not a yugo). Dealer even had fresh baked cookies, muffins, a soda fountain, etc. For the same price as the Track, I have moved up IMHO.

Felt good leaving after the purchase. Can't say that often.
