What is the deal with the filter on the PCV hose? Isn't that just going to collect oil?

Wow, this Carbon FIber Induction sure looks good, if I am correct, Carbon Fiber will reduce the heat and has a lighter weight also.

I remember I had that little breather filter thing on my other car, I dont think it collects oil, and also its better to keep them separate for better performance instead of plug it into the intake tube.

So basically it's a carbon fiber Z tube? Any pictures of it by itself?

And how much is the filter?

I am interested in the carbon fiber intake. But my G35 is brand
new. Will it void the warranty? And what king of hp gains are
you getting?

We have not dynoed the intake system for hp gains and it should NOT void your warranty.
Thanks.

It would probably have the same gains as the Z intake tube but look much better

I just ordered mine, will keep you guys posted. Damn, the Unlimited Tuning's is so much cheaper than GruppeM's, I wonder how many kits GruppeM actually sold. This will be another great mod to the UT's YPipe, keep up the good work.

when installing this part, what exact parts do you need for the PCV stuff?

I've never done this before, are there specific parts that fit the Z or is it a one size fits all?

The system includes all the hardware you need for installation, the Z and the G has a different system. The installation does NOT require any kind of modifications, its simply bolt on, thanks.

well I just got mine today - nice quality btw, though wish the inside was smoother instead of textured since air is supposed to flow thru it, but still very nice

it's a solid CF tube with two rubber fasteners with metal lock-ties

it doesn't have a valve for the PCV hose to connect to.

I'm kinda new to engine mods etc, but what am I supposed to do with that PCV hose that'll be floating around not connected to anything? Do you put one of those little mini air filters on instead? If so, are there specific ones that fit the Z or does that not really matter?
