Default 350Z springs on a G?

Decisions, decisions...can't decide what springs to get.
Anyone here put Z springs on their G? If so, what brand and model? I was thinking about getting S-Techs for a 350Z. Any input?

Depends on what you want....but I have researched and am going with the Tein 350z H techs.

Thanks for the input. Why the Z H-Tech's and not the S's? Isn't the drop for the 350Z less than the G35?

Neffster, read your thread in g35driva. Z springs will give the G an additional 1/2" drop.

I put the RS*R springs for the 350Z on my Girl and the drop is perfect......

Ive got tein H techs for a Z on my G. Very happy with them and the ride.

Scrape much with that setup?
Did you do a before and after measurement on the drop?
What are your current alignment specs?

Im thinking of buying the RS*R's for the z for my g. can you tell me what the actuall drop is and if you have camber issues. thanks a lot.

i got RSRs for the Z on my G a few weeks ago (thanks to street image)... springs settled a bit after a while, came out with about a one and a quarter finger gap all around.

scrapes a lot, drives me kinda nuts... but I love the way it looks.

Good question.

I too am in the market for springs and was also curious about the difference.

Are the Z springs also stiffer than the springs made for the G? I'm weary about putting Z springs on because it should be designed for the weight distribution of the Z? right?

Here is a little bit of info for you to sort through courtesy of a cut and paste from a post from Gsedan35 on G35driver.com

Stock Coupe 6MT Spring rates are the same rate as the 350Z spring and the sedan with the sport suspension.

Variant 3's are noteworthy as the only known coilover for these cars where the dampners are adjustable for compression and rebound independently. They also differ in using progressive springs front and rear

840/728 F+168% R+113% (wee bit stiff eh, the recommended rate to)
Transfers 55% roll stiffness to front
Basically the increased roll stiffness to the front of the vehicle will add more understeer. The percentages which are positive will have a more harsh or more stiff ride than stock. Negative numbers will be softer. The farther away the spring rates get from zero, the faster the stock shocks will wear out (unless you are considering coilovers).

As you might notice, the Tein H-Techs for the 350Z add the least amount of additional understeer (w/o adding to oversteer) keep the springs rates closest to stock, allow a 0.8" drop in the front and a 0.7" drop in the back for a G35 and a drop of 0.3" in the front and 0.2" drop in the back for a 350Z. They also should not wear out the stock shocks too fast as the spring rates are mildly more stiff than stock, yet you get a nice subtile drop. By adding them I'm hoping to stay within the stock camber and toe ranges, thus not having to add camber/control arms and toe bolts...

so... if i got tein basic for a z my g35c would be 0.5 lower than a g35 with a tein basic g35c setup( for the max drop height)?

about two months ago, i installed tanabe GF210 made for the Z. it's looks great and the spring rate is just what i wanted--stiffer than stock. the drop is about 1.5" even though it says 1" on the box.
