Default What percentage lose is expected on performance parts?

What is the average percentage lose on the cost of performance parts when you try to sell your car?
I am aware many times people have to sell for financial reasons, but on average what is the expected percentage discount on performance parts?
I just heard skidazzle sold is Blue Customt JoTech TT 350 Z. I have not seen what he sold it for, but I know he had a ton of cash in that ride.
Take your average 2003 Loaded G35 with 14,000 miles (Nav, Performance 18" wheels, etc) add Greddy TT Kit, custom exhaust. You will have a cost of at least $ 45,000.00
Now a average 2003 G35 stock is selling for $ 32,000.00, do you lose 50% of the performance parts & sounds system?

I asked similar questions when my Z was new.

Basically, a used sports car, even if heavily modded, is a poor investment.

The only justification is that you will enjoy the car.

35 years from now, buyers/collectors will desire a STOCK 2004 over a modded one.

I watched this too out of curiosity:

Did he sell it?

Skidazzle did sell his TT 350 to a guy in DC.

I am aware this not a investment, just curious if selling what is the expect depreciation for performance parts.

I've noticed that many sellers revert the car to stock and sell their mods separately.

Modifications don't add any value to a car. Sometimes they can actually decrease the value, depending on the modifications.

Unless you're selling to an enthusiast, mods will depreciate the value of a car as most likely the car has been driven hard. It's better to put the stock parts back on and sell the parts individually.
