Plenum Spacer + Stillen Intake Recommended?
Hello,
I've tried searching before on G35driver, but wasn't able to find an answer to a question I have.
Is it recommended to have both a plenum spacer + a stillen intake? Or is going just with the Plenum spacer good enough?
I'm just afraid that it's too much power for the engine, and that it would sound wayy too loud with both mods included.
Does anyone have both mods that would like to share their opinion, or if anyone prefer to have just the intake or just the plenum? Thanks!

1) G35Driver.com is down
2) You'd probably be better off increasing the air flow with the Stillen intake and Z-tube, in addition to the plenum spacer. You most certainly won't have to worry about too much power.
3) The stillen intake makes it louder, but in my opinion it sounds good. Try searching YouTube for video clips comparing stock and with the Stillen intake/Z-tube.
4) I have the AAM angled spacer and Stillen Z Tube/Intake and think it's a great set up. The intake improved the sound, and the plenum spacer gave me some noticeable power gains.

Thanks. I did research on spacers + intake on G35Driver before it went down, and I figured since I'm deciding soon, I'd rather ask now.
I've searched up Youtube clips, but it's so hard to judge because the quality is so poor.
If a spacer + a plenum is recommended by most people, I'd definitely go for both!

The Z-tube doesn't really give much of a power gain - maybe a few HP - but it's less baffled than the stock G tube, so it sounds better (louder). "Z-tube" has basically come to mean either the stock tube off the Z, the tube Stillen makes which is based upon the Z's intake tube design and calls a "Z-tube", and I'm sure there are other places that make them out there.
In short, it's a less restricted intake tube that the Z's came with, not the G's.

Ah, ok thanks a lot guys. I'll probably look into getting a plenum spacer...I want to avoid getting an intake unless it truly helps with power over a drop in filter replacement. Anyone tried this comparison?
