Default Plenum or throttlebody?

What's the difference? Which one to upgrade?

Apologies for sounding ignorant, but I know that my Talon TSi had a throttlebody (so did my Q45, my friend's Camaro), but I'm not sure if it had a plenum. I see that there are several models of replacement plenums for the Z, yet I have not seen an aftermarket throttlebody.

Does the Z not have one? Where does the throttle plate sit then? The new V10 in the M5 has 10 individual throttle plates, but the Z HAS to have one somewhere, right? If so, is there a hi-perf replacement for the Z throttlebody?

Thanks in advance.

The Z has a throttle body. It bolts right up to the upper plenum, and also connects the intake tube. From what I have been reading, there is a higher flowing throttle body that 350evo.com sells. Probably need to get your ECU reflashed to get the full benifits from it though.

You might want to get the plenum upgraded first. That's what most people seem to be doing.

Plenum first. The throttle body is the square piece that sits next to the plastic factory intake tube. 350evo is taking five years on sending my unit out. November 1st ordered and still not received.

Agreed. Go with the Plenum first. You will get your money's worth, compared to the TB.
