DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH HELIX TEST PIPES AND GRUPPE S Y-PIPE COUPLED TO STOCK OR NISMO EXHAUST?
I KNOW THAT THE NISMO EXHUAST COMES WITH A Y-PIPE, SO I WAS THINKING OF KEEPING THE STOCK EXHAUST UNTIL I GET THE RS-R, THAT IS UNLESS IT SOUNDS LIKE CRAP.

does the system sound good or is it very raspy?

 

I put the test pipes on made like a 30 mile trip and took them back off. The smell was a little much for me. I've heard that it wont smell as bad once the ECU adjusts though. As for the sound, it was definately louder. I took it for a spin in the neighborhood and gunned it in 1st and a couple friends in the neighborhood stopped by and told me how loud it sounded and I still had the silencers in. It was only raspy after like 4000 rpms though.
