I'm thinking about getting this myself. I've seen in another post that they haven't had problems with the latest version (version 4 i think) and that they have a lifetime warranty.

im tempted to get the v4, it does come with a life time warranty, and although none have cracked yet, im still worried about it cracking and ruining my engine.

I've had my V4, V3, V2.......no problems for like 6 months with the V4. Only thing is the rubbing on the strut bar, but that is easily fixed by tightening the bar.

I have been using Kinetix Plenums since the initial release of V1. Like most have experienced all the problems with V1, V2 and V3. Now have V4 with Vortech SC, 5000 miles and NO PROBLEMS! Excellent product matched by their customer service.

I can totally understand going with the Vortech SC, but WHY did you sell the V4 to make room for the SC.....

From someone who was fearful/paranoid/anxious about risking a lot of money for HP gains that may or may not be real, I can tell you that the Kinetix V4 Plenum is the most significant and substantial modification I have put in my car. With mods like catback exhausts or intake systems, you drive the car, punch the gas, and think to yourself, "ooo...I felt a little tinge there." With the Plenum, there is no tinge. It's replaced with "HHOOOLY F*CKIN' SHHHH!!TTTT!!!!!!!"

Also, as my good friend JimRHIT points out, you must have a torque wrench to make sure you do not exceed 12 ft/lb of torque when twisting the lug nuts back on. Don't try to feel this out on your own since you do not know what 12 ft/lb of torque feels like, and no, it's not as much pressure as you think it is.

Oh, it sounds sick as sh*t....the sound improvement is worth the price of admission alone.

I sold the plenum to get the $$ for the Vortech, not becasue I didn't trust it.

Plus ... our local SoCal diy'er protcav is making a new manifold soon and I might try it out.

The V4 is great, but with two issues.

It hits the strut bar. I have tracked the car and had no problems with the the situation, but it makes me nervous.

The other issue is the coolant block. Do not use it. It does nothing and the fittings leak. Just connect the two water hoses with the straight connector off the block.

Ive had a V4 for about 5 months, its a wonderful product, the only thing i miss about my V3 is that gnarly growl it makes , the V4 sounds almost like stock.

Got the V4 & Hi Flow CAT package. Best BANG for Buck for all mods I have. Should be better after Technosquare reflash. No rubbing or leaks here. Just need to adjust the strut so that it curves a little bit so as not to hit the plenum.

I'm on my second Kinetix plenum (both V4). On the first one, I only got as far as torquing it down and one of the ears cracked. I e-mailed the company and within 20 minutes I had a reply that a new replacement was on the way. Three days later I was back on the road. As far as performance, I love it, as far as the company's service/standing behind their product EXCELLENT. I'm attaching a picture of the crack.

Default Kinetix Plenum

I know that it's $369 on their website...

I think the Cat-Plen combo is a good deal...

I would like to know if I could do better somewhere else...

I'm just interested in the Plenum...
