Just got Crawfords installed today. Throttle response seems a little sharper and the exhaust note a notch more aggressive. On the highway I could feel more pull, for sure.

i got the kinetix shizzles on, and i will say that u can really hear the exhaust flow. i don't know if that is good or bad yet; i will just have to see if it grows on me.

Default I'm really interested

in how much louder you guys are finding the stock exhaust with just cats and perhaps a Y pipe and nothing else.

I wouldn't mind headers, cats and a Y-pipe, but keep the rest of the exhaust stock.

Does anyone have any comments on how that might sound and how much performance to expect in terms of gains?

go with crawfords...great fitment, quality, performance and customer service....and they seem to know what they are doing when it comes to the z

the sound is not that much louder if your running everything else stock...you can barely tell the difference with just the hf cats...except your car will be faster

Wotnot, stay tuned... although i have a G35 Coupe, i currently have stock exhaust with Kinetix cats (which have now ruptured)... i will be replacing these this week with:

TopSpeed/Pro1 Headers, Crawford Cats, and Fujitsubo Y-pipe

i'll try to get some sound clips after i get the install done... a Z with similar exhaust mods should sound the same

(i would give you the "before" ones too but the ruptured cat makes my car sound like some bizarre crossbreed of a riced-up Civic and a tugboat.)
