Wow that sounds nice. How would you rate the loudness of this exhaust?

HKS is a good exhaust. I had the hiper exhaust on my lexus IS300 and loved it. It had nice, deep sound and it was mean at WOT. I think ill take this one over nismo. Whats the retail on one? How's the install?

keep in mind I am running hf cats so that definitely contributes to the way it sounds...

I also wouldnt be surprised if it sounded a little different after break in. These videos were all shot with less than 100 miles on the system.

It sounds awesome in person!

Yeah, cats make a HUGE difference in exhaust sound so this video is almost worthless if your considering buying the system, unless you were to get the same setup. Man, I would really like to hear this system on a Z with cats as I am sure 90% of the forums still have cats if not more. Although I wouldn't say it sounds ricey, it sounds pretty good. Im sure with cats its sounds a hell of a lot better!

Ok, DJK, have you heard the Greddy Evo 2 and the Invidia G200, if so how would you compare it to them? I'm getting one of these 3

the freeway clip sounded awesome. I dont plan on changing exhausts anytime soon, but if I had too I would get it. I wonder how it would sound with test pipes....

How is it ricey? I hear no rasp???? The note is just very deep.

4 cylinder vs. v6

2 completely different exhaust notes.

Yeah, like posted above I don't think its ricey either. Sounds pretty exotic to me, although 4 cylnders sometimes even sound better than V6 vehicles. A good prime example is the WRX, one of the most amazing sounds of a 4cylinder vehicle extremelly deep and muscular.

Greddy - not as deep, much more quiet, has less grumble in its tone

disclaimer: Ive never heard the Greddy system on a non-turbo vehicle so you could say I am comparing apples to oranges.

Invidia - Ive never heard that exact model, but ill compare the older version. Id have to say the Invidia is louder, pretty deep and overall is "boomier" This exhaust makes more noise at all stages of the throttle whereas I think the HKS makes most of its noise at WOT.

Im definitely a fan of the way Invidia sounds.

deep?? I thought the note was a little high pitched on the top end. It sounded especially bad when he took off on the highway ..i know I'll get flamed for this but.. sort of like a Honda with a coffee can exhaust.. there i said it LOL

There was a user named ultimateone here that had the old HKS single exhaust. I thought that one sounded much better and I kinda liked it.. but he got flamed for sounding a little ricey too.. so YMMV.. BTW, I have a nice video clip of that and if someone wants to host it, PM me..

maybe it will sound better when it breaks in? or maybe the cats are to blame? either way those videos did nothing for me except made me glad I have a Borla TD..

Exactly leemik. No offense, if you like it that's all that matters. It just sounds too loud for me. Either way it looks awesome!

Exhaust tones don't sound the way they were R&D and tested to sound untill after a significant break in period. Every manufactures exhausts has a break in period. It could take a while, before the exhaust will omit the note HKS intended it too...

If someone asked me -hey hows the new HKS exhaust sound for the 350Z, my answers simple. ITS HKS!

For I shall never flame the,.. Its against my religion, here no evil, see no evil, speak (type) no evil... Not only that but your sig says I love volks! '''(OMG like)"" I love them too! I've owned the URL www.Gramlights.com since before they were introduced into the states. We have so much in common now.
