What is the best filter for an AEM CAI and where to buy? Need to replace mine because it got crushed while moving.
And is that water adaptor by-pass thing worth it???

I dont really know if it would haveta be any different than a universal cone filter to fit the AEM... but let me suggest the Blitz unit. Supposedly very little/no oiling of the filter required with great flow and filtering. I would spring for the bypass valve to be extra safe but I have heard of mayn people damaging their motor through water ingestion even with that bypass valve on... Imo CAI is just too risky just for an additional 1-2 hp over a Popcharger/Short Ram

The filter that comes with the AEM intake is basically a K and N intake, same design etc... You can get a similar sized K/N filter. Or you can go with one from Injen, AEM, K/N, S/B, etc.... There are so many companies out there now that make similar filters, its crazy. And they all filter pretty much the same, not enough difference that your butt dyno would even notice.
The Bypass filter is a very good preventive measure for a cold air intake, I would highly recomend it. It's cheap insurance and peace of mind.
If you need, we can order you any of the filters, and bypass valve.
