INstalling topspeed headers, any advice.....
were done guys, let me tell you never again lol, it wasnt difficult but time consuming to get to the bolts and also the biggest prob was when the last bolt in the back on the passenger side got stripped
I did two sets of the Top Speed Headers(one Z and one G). We had a crew of 2-3 for both cars. The first took like 10 hours and the second took closer to 6. Some learning curve. The things that will eat up the most time is not having the proper tools. We did ours at a auto hobby shop so we could use a lift and have access to pretty much any tool needed. You can read my comments on the install here: http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/s...772#post233772 . I have some more comments and tips here: http://www.6mt.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9266
I am still very happy with my headers. The G sounds a bit meaner and I have no doubt that it pulls harder. I'd do the install again any day and save the $$ for other mods, but thats just me...

I had mine installed for me, and now there is a serious rattle on the passenger side. The guy is driving into town this weekend (70 miles) to look at it, but for those of you who self installed, what could this be?
It rattles at idle, acceleration, and down shifting. Very annoying!!!! What could be rubbing? Its hard for me to tell just standing over the engine bay.
Definitely on the passenger side. "Around" the header area.
Thanks!!!
PS- Extra power from the headers is awesome!

If I had to guess, it is probably the heat shielding on the Driver's side Cat bumping on the subframe. I noticed this clearance was pretty close on both the cars I did, but didn't have any actual contact points. If that is the case you might be able to bend the shielding back with a hammer and a chisel or some other method to give a little clearance. Not sure it that's it though. Please let us know what you find - Good luck!
