Default Question for my fellow Topspeed Header DIY's

Did you guys have an issue with the oem y-pipe bolting to the headers? the drivers side of the y-pipe was like 1/2 and inch off and i really had to fight it to get it on, its really bugging me about what kind of stress that might be putting on my headers.

Im getting a custom y-pipe made soon but im curious if anyone noticed.

Thanks in advance!

he probably means that the headers have put the cats in a different position, from stock, which stresses the headers.

to which i agree. i had to fight the y-pipe a bit, to get it on, but i think the play that you have in the flex joints will be fine.

I am not sure if this may be some of my clunking issues, but it sounds logical to me. I began getting a clunking sound from underneath the car after my TS header install but I havent taken it to anyone yet. Well, the other day, I heard it while idling and I went behind the car and noticed that my exhaust tips (Injen SES) were touching my body kit (VS V3). So it looks to me that the flange on the header, possibly, is not in the exact same location as stock and it is pushing my cats inward or vice versa which would be pivoting the rear of my exhaust outward causing the tips to rub the bumper.

Does anyone know if the Injen SES exhaust is adjustable at the rear of the car?

Zach
