After kinetix install, car not starting
Just threw a very slightly used V2 on my Z. No visable cracks anywhere on it.
When you crank the motor, it revs to 3k, drops off, tries to stabalize and then dies. I'm assuming this is vacuum related. Any ideas?
Thanks

did you put the bolts on the inside of the plenum?
when you take the stocker off you removed 6 screws/bolts that are used to hold it down in the middle of the plenum.
before you put the new plenum on those six bolts must be filled or the car will not work. They need to be short (1/2 " or so) and the same thread as the ones you took out.
If you can, stay away from allen head bolts and go with the hex head bolts. It will be easier to remove them in the future when need be.

i'll save you the trouble of searching for the bolt size, you need
6mm bolts w/ a 1.0 threadpitch +and some lock tight so they don't come out... you can buy the shortest bolts, doesn't matter since all they have to do is cover up the holes

dont put locktight on those. you will never get them out.
they are being sucked in, no need for locktight.
someone else want to confirm this?
locktight is used to hold the exterior bolts in place....
