Default Am I the first one???

Well, this past Sat. Cal. Speedway open up for 2005. Needless to say, I made sure I showed up and got a couple of runs.

As expected, I didn't get to get the type of runs I wanted, for numerous reasons. Regardless, after the first run I opened my hood and started working on my N20 set up when low and behold, my friend points at my plenum and let out a big "Damn! Look at the size of that crack!"

At first, I thought it was funny, his wording that is. But after I saw my plenum, I was like WTF???

No, it's not Kinetix, it my CRAWFORD plenum! A V5 polished Crawford plenum.

Am I the first to crack a Crawford plenum?

FYI: I've had this plenum for about a year now, never had any issues with it. So it's not like it just got installed or it wasn't properly anything.

Also, unlike the Kinetix plenum, the crack appeared on the main forhead. The part that is extended/raised, where you would have to cut/modify your engine cover if you want to keep on using it.

My friend took pics of the plenum, so I'll post them as soon as he emails me. Just wanted to know if I'm the first?

Post Pics and give Doug a call. Have you had any backfires through the intake? Being that it's polished, it could be that someone got a little aggressive when polishing it and created a thin spot...

Thanks!
