that sucks i knew these we too good to be true

 

what about the performance gains? worth the added exhaust noise? i personally would rather keep things hush-hush, but if it means compromising between a little louder/more power, i'd be willing to sacrifice a little droning here and there.

 

I have the Fujitsubo Y-pipe and Legalis-R with the Megan Racing resonated TP's and I have NO rasp and NO droning at all. The noise is slightly deeper and exotic IMO.

 

enthusiast that is going to be the same setup im going for except i went with the pro-1 y pipe it was about half the price and will be getting the fuji soon how do you like your setup?

 

Well there is definitly a LOUD rasp with the nismo exhaust/y pipe, the power gains are definitly there but IMHO not worth the sound, today i ended up cutting the test pipes in half then welding in new resonators, the car sounds alot better now, very very little rasp and alot quieter on the highway

 

I Have the Borla TD Exhaust with the megan racing pipes and sounds good , you might hear a lil rasp under wot or heavy load but other than that , sounds great!!

I am more than pleased with my setup. It is actually quieter than a Z with just a Nismo exhaust installed.

 

Well I took off the Megan test pipes after a few days, although they sounded nice I'm too chicken to run catless in CA (that smell is a dead give-away) and I went for some hi-flow cats instead.

The Megan pipes are for sale at my cost if anyone is interested, which is $115 shipped to your door. They are in like-new condition with gaskets and hardware.

i have the new hks hi-power ti dual exhaust. i was wondering what is your opinion if i use the resonated test pipe off of ebay? i would love to have the sound to be deeper but no raspy noise at all. let me know what is your input on this.

 

I've read on this thread that there is *slight* rasp w/stock exhaust...more rasp with aftermarket, I believe Nismo was mentioned. Not sure about others...

 

Just got mine from built4race the other day, I'll install them soon. I have a stock exhaust.

I got mine in this weekend...still sounds like a z just a little louder....smell is kind of strong...feels and sounds good..no check engine light either

 

do you have an 03 or 04, if 04,when did you buy yours?

man i have a gruppe s y pipe and then want to do this but i think it might be raspy. IM NOT changing the exhaust after the y pipe i have a 3 inch cut out
