is that w/ the stock resonator off? cuz it sounds raspy... u sure its not raspy at all w/ the stock resonator on?? if it is ithink ill just buy these and have another resonator welded on....

 

hey my car is stock just intake and stock muffer it does not sound raspy at all the rear is full rear vertex kit

nice car in the clip... but the sound is a bit raspy... anyone else think so? or could it be distortion from the mic on the camera? was that the clip with the resonator ON?

i think i'm going to change my "count me in" vote to "pending more sound clips" for now... sorry... i konw it's only $100 but that one clip has me concerned

 

yeah, that short little sound clip doesnt really sound pleasing...but could, and most likely does sound different in person.
I dont know what im going to do now. Others in the group buy, what are you thinking???

the video does sound little raspy.. at least it's not deep toned. I also have the Borla TD, so it may change the exhaust tones quite a bit..

IMO it kinda sounds comparable to the fujitsubo legalis R exhaust...

 

I think it sounds very nice. It's got a mean sound and you guys have to remember that the camcorder probable doesn't capture bass tones well, so we hear the higher pitch stuff more.

Owners are buying pipes with no resonaters and not all of them are complaining about rasp, other than at around 4k. I think even if there was rasp, it will be a lot less than pipes w/o resonators.

Keep me counted in on the group by and if we got 10, let's get the ball rolling on this.

Well said. I agree. Any resonated test pipe has to have less rasp than my non-resonated ones. Im still in.

and i dont mean to hijack but there is also a group buy pending in the internals section for a lightweight (stock diameter) crank pulley no underdriving jsut lighter weight they retailf or like 145 and if he can get 30pple (think he has like 20 something) then he can get the for like 70 bucks or something CHECK IT OUT

first of all, thanks for staritng this group buy.. I know most people do it as a favor, and not profit themself... it seems like the seller can not honor what he said, so I'll be wary on anything right now.. It's best like you said to contact megan racing directly, so you can get a guaranteed from the mfg. themself.. This way, it's more safer..
