I tried torquing some more and a few got better, while #2 got worse. So I took a trip to Home Depot after reading back a few pages in this thread and bought some 100% rubber washers from the plumbing section...no more leaky, but I'm not sure this is the best solution. I will be speaking with AAM monday morning.

350Zenophile,
The center picture of the rubber/metal washers is the one I was refering too
If you or anyone else has a ACE that's well supplied with metric bolts, I would also suggest buying FLANGE/head bolts. They look better and eliminate the need for a regular washer. I replaced all my bolts with these, except for the 3 (70mm) bolts supplied by AAM. The image below illustrates the exact sizes I personally used for a smooth install. I hope this helps everyone.Zquicksilver

I've seen on these last couple of pages some references to air leaks, apparently from the bolts. I don't recall the stock plenum have O-rings or seals on it, so why would they become necessary with a spacer installed?

Sounds like they need to iron the bugs out of bolt sizes.. I would think with stock Plenum that same the sizes needed to add spacer would be easy to measure so many people are having to buy more bolts etc. maybe by the next group buy they will have fixed this.
P.S. I AM IN ON THE NEXT GROUP BUY.

I don't know how in the hell I came across the thread in the first place for the GB, but fait had it my way this time! Even at $249 it's worth it, imo... I think you'll spend over $500 for the complete Crawford setup, incl. strut bar. The spacer brought a huge
to my face!! And I thought my homegrown intake was fun.....
