Exactly, and at $249 there will be no hesitation in me purchasing a full plenum when its only $100 more.

I fixed the vibration.
I used 2 washer both side of the sturt bar, any more washers and the bolt have nothing to hold.
So I decided to play with the strut adjustment....
I just adjusted the strut bar and (pulled wrench forward) torqed it to raise it up a bit, vibration is gone now.

Glad to hear that!

So all you did to fix the vibration is adjusting the strut bar?
I was thinking about trimming the engine cover!

the stock plenum with a spacer is perfectly fine and the stock look is priceless. HP gains seem about the same between modified plenums and stock plneum+spacers. Imho, spending 100$ more is silly. Even for same price I'd still get the spacer, lol.

To me, there are only dissadvantages in having a "full" modified plenum.

I doubt you guy's will get another group buy up, much less for the spacer to be $160. It took 60 people to get it to that price, right now, you'd only get 20 people...

Yes as long as you used 2 spacers on both side of the strut bar, and if you go back over the instruction, like I did the 20th time It says somthing about afdusting the strut bar.... but I like most people have no clue on what it means.

I looked at it for a bit and I thought what does adjusting this bar do? I had no clue it raised or lowered and I "assume" it does this by flexing the bar.

I have to agree with Nano...why spend an extra $100 + what you're going to have to spend on a new crawford strut bar. So really it's like another $220...

I'm still all giddy about installing my AAM spacer...so glad I squeaked in at the last minute. Otherwise, I too would be kicking myself now.

Yeah I agree, after thinking its going to be $395 +$150 for the strut bar, so thats a lil bit too much.

I've emailed David and should be done ordering today. I'm really excited.

That's exactly what it does and I suggest doing that only as a last resort. The adjustment is designed to ease removal and installation not preload tension into the towers.

I would think adding tension to the point that the bar flexes upwards could have adverse affects on your alignment as it would potentially move the upper strut attachment points outward a few mm. As you may know, our cars are very senstive to alignment settings. Of course this is all conjecture until someone puts it on an alignment rack, adds enough tension to the bar to bend it and then sees if toe, caster or camber changes.

I'm attaching Removal and Installation instructions from the service manual.
