Stillen Exhaust Vs. Nismo, which one will give me best LowEnd Torque?
which one will give me the greatest Low End Torque.....
(daily driven stop and go traffic)
i also heard that the Stillen is not as loud, very close to stock exhaust? is this true.....how does it sound relative to the Nismo?

Based on my research, here's what I know:
1. Stillen seems to have the highest torque numbers
2. Nismo seems to be louder
3. Nismo is a bit lighter than stock and Stillen is a bit heavier than stock
4. Alot of guys have the Nismo and quite a few guys also have the Stillen
These are the two exhausts I was considering as well

I have been debating over which exhaust pieces/systems to buy for a while now. I had originally decided on a full Stillen system... the cat-back seems to have the highest gains in both HP and TQ, and it is a true dual system with x-over (which I prefer to H-pipe like on the Borla). Surely the Stillen weighs more, that is a lot of SS piping, 2 mufflers, etc... but I think the power is worth the weight gain. Plus, on a more modified engine/car I think the Stillen has the most room to "grow". I also wanted the Stillen headers and test pipes...
Now I think the Kinetix test pipes with resonators would be a better idea, dang sure don't wanna sound like I am joining the Honda's e-bay bumblebee club of America (I wanna avoid raspiness as much as possible). Still want the Stillen cat-back, I think... anyone know how much weight gain over stock it really is? and no clue on which headers to get really.
I have the JWT cone w/ heat shield, next is Kinetix plenum, 350EVO TB, and TS ECU. May do the exhaust before the ECU, then have them program it to include all these upgrades. Might even get a fuel pump upgrade and larger CC injectors first too.

Stillen headers and exhaust...
Now I'm thinking a good Y pipe and High flow cats (likely Ultimate Racing)
I get more confused every day I read something new here.

Well, the Stillen SS exhaust is a true dual system, the x-pipe hooks directly to the cats so you won't need a Y-pipe (instead of Y'ing into 1 pipe, it just crosses/x's into 2 for load balancing). And I "am told" the sound is really nice, little louder that stock... mostly a deeper, mellow tone but not obnoxious. I believe "quieter than the Nismo, yet higher gains and better sound" were the words used.
The Stillen test pipes sorta have bulges on the sides, not exactly straight through like the rest. They say "for exhaust scavenging"? Any ideas on this? I still want resonated test pipes though, so Kinetix I believe is still my choice so far.

I loved my stillen, it didnt rattle, it was easy to install, and all the weight gain is down low and in the back, helping to even out the Zs weight distrobution!
All in all, with the power and the added weight, the Stillen is the one I chose, and one that you would like too!
