Thumbs up installed kinetix resonated test pipes today

well this afternoon i installed my kinetix resonated test pipes. fitment was good and quality was pretty good too. there seemed to be plenty of clerance from the heat shields so i don't forsee any rattling in the future. my setup is topspeed headers, injen straight tip and the test pipes. i went from the kinetix hi flow cats to these and performance wise they seem to give it a little bit more pep. they sound a little bit deeper and i really didn't notice any rasp. overall i'm happy with the change, sounds good and performs good too....now time to save up for some more mods.

I would also like to give props to kinetix for great customer service. I had the old version of the hi flow cats with the brace and they cracked where the welds were causing a leak. when i notified them they took care of me and shipped out some resonated test pipes on my request instead of the cats under warrenty.

I've got the TopSpeed headers installed with the Kinetix HF cats and the rasp is very pronounced at 3-4k rpm.

Did you have the rasp before and was this solved going to the Test Pipes?

I didn't have any rasp before but it did get alot louder starting from that rpm and up. I think the headers made a bigger difference in sound that switching between hf cats and tp's. Tp's sound almost identical, just a tad deeper. Do you have an exhaust with that combo too?

side note: i had to type this twice cause the damn cable converter went out before it could be posted...i hate that thing and i'm about to bust it up office space style

I do not. This is with the stock catback. Looks like I might have to put the factory heavyweights back on b/c it sounds gross.

I can feel the rice-eyes staring at me!
