Default BS or not re emissions standards?

we know that each state in the union has its own emission standards (mine is the worst). so what does that translate to in terms of hp variations from state to state?

For the Z it doesn't mean much. Most cars are made to a CA standard. Back in my eclipse/stratus R/T days, mitsu put out a fed spec and a cali spec eclipse in 2000. The Cali spec car had precats and a main cat while the fed spec only had one main cat. The fed spec was a more powerful car; consistantly putting down 10-15 whp more than the cali spec.

The biggest issue for power in Cali is the gas. Here it is only 91, most are 93.
