yea, I think you talking about the EX Mag GT 2 - it is very very loud.

The sound is excellent though! Nice and smooth from bottom to top, and never breaks up or rasps. It is very very raw at first, but smooths out significantly after a couple months. It comes with optional silencers, which will it bring back close to a stock level sounds, but without them in forget it. It's just loud, but the most intimidating sound i've heard come out of a Z.

I bought it because I liked the straight through design and the sound. It'll save you about 37 lbs off the stock system.

There are clips up online. I have been meaning to do a high quality recording at work.

I never dynoed mine, but I have been to the strip multiple times with it. This is my only mod. At the end of the year I was trapping out at 103.9x mph and ET'd at 13.7x. If my 60's didn't stink so bad, the car easily has 13.5's in her with me driving and just the exhaust. I am hoping to get there this spring.

You both are right, it's the GT EX MAG II. They come with the silencers but wondering if these would be too loud even after the turbo install.

RS-R has a true dual exhaust other than the exmag gt2 which is not sold in the US due to emissions restictions. BTW ZSpeed, I bought my RS-R exmag gt2 used with the silencers in place. They seem to be stuck due to metal expansion from the heat. Have you had any issues like this? If so how did you go about removing the silencers?

I never dyno'd my car but I love the exhaust. As stated above it screams without the silencers. At first I thought it was too loud but I got used to it. With the silencers installed it's just a tad louder than stock. I only ran it at the track once without the silencers and it was great. Now the local track has a db limit so I haven't run it w/o silencers since. I'd imagine I'd get black flagged for sound though as it's pretty loud.

Question (Possibly on topic)...

Is the RSR exhaust very similiar to the Pro-1 exhaust?

I have not seen the too side by side, but from pictures they look almost identicle. If so I have the video of the Pro-1 on my car with Twin Turbo and Test Pipes.

Yes, they are virutally I dentical. And sound virtually identicial. The only difference are below:

Pro-1 - polished I-pipe to the canisters and silver colored welds

RSR - ceramic coated I-pipe to to canisters and gold colored welds.

..Spray some WD-40 in the tip, drive around the block. They should slide out with pliers.

Sometimes they can get a little stuck and be a pain. I use a pliars to get them out. I grab one of the fins with the pliars and then wiggle them out. WD40 may not be a bad idea.

I keep a 10mm wrench and pilars in the, so it's easy in, easy out whenever I need to.
