I had it with headers, hf cats, and a y-pipe, and it made me want to drive my car off a cliff.

regardless it is a really loud exhaust...its 3" piping throughout...the stock cats, headers and y-pipe are not going to reduce the tone that much

i dunno man, i had a fd3 w/ a loud *** catback, but after adding a downpipe and hi flows it was ridiculous- so i'd imagine the other exhaust components are important in determining sound level on the Z as well, regardless of what aftermarket exhaust

Lets just say I owned a FD w/ Single Turbo and W/G dump tube, Midpipe, Custom DP, and Peter Farrell Catback and now I own a TT350Z with the Pro-1 on it w/ test pipes.

The Z is not near as loud as the RX7 was at idle and just a little quieter while reving. The Z is close to equal as loud as the RX7 as far as in-cabin drone is concerned while driving. Now the fun part....The Z is no where near as loud as the RX7 when that wastegate would open, holy god.

I dont' know the real relevance of this comment, but you know FD's and I figured I would give you the best comparison I could. But generally speaking Turbo Z's are quieter than N/A Z's (mine w/ test pipes and stock exhaust was quieter than stock).

So, yes the Pro-1 is really damn loud and most likely would not even consider it on a N/A Z cause of the loudness, but the sound of it is amazing and love it how it is on my car now.

PS. Thanks for letting me buy the exhaust off you Abstrakt

I have my Pro-1 sitting in the closet. After I get my turbo installed, I'm considering giving it another shot as I figured it would be quite a bit quieter.

Now that you have the TT - With 10 being an NA Pro-1 w/ no silencers, and 1 being stock exhaust, where would you place the Pro-1 on a scale of 1-10?

From what I'm reading, I guess it really depends if jslik350 will go FI or the NA route. If FI, then it seems like it shouldn't be that bad since this setup seems to somehow suppress the noise. Now if he goes the NA route, it's going to sound extremely loud which is the setup I heard last weekend.

i dont see FI in the near future, i think i need to hear this exhaust in person, too hard to judge sound level through clips

Yeah. I'm just wondering if it's worth my time to bolt it back on and try again after the turbo kit is installed. The fujitsubo is a nice exhaust, but it doesn't have the full 3inch piping that the pro-1 has.

The exhaust should be slightly quieter with the presence of a turbocharger, the closed wastegate tends to quiet down the exhaust note. If you're running a supercharger, then you won't notice any change in volume at all.
