Is there a difference between the version 4 plenum and the version 5 ? Will either one of these clear the stock strut bar ?

Not sure the difference, but I am almost 100% sure that it will not clear the factory strut bar. You can get the Crawford strut bar tho. Im getting mine tomm.

The difference is that the V4 was welded up from the stock plenum. The V5 is a completely new casting. The V5 is better looking because it has no weld lines. I have a V4, and I'm keeping it. Crawford makes great products. Neither will clear the stock strut bar on the "Z", but Crawford has an alternative.

The V5 is not a cast piece, it is a modified stock plenum. Their cast version came after the V5.

 

i have the actual black cast piece (v4 and v5 are made from stock piece i believe -- which is why you had to exchange it with your own)

awesome piece -- looks better than stock quality and fits well and you must use aftermarket strut bar
