Default exhaust questions (y pipe, free flowing cats)

i just got an injen ses but it's only the cat back. i'm new to modding nissan's and was wondering how loud the injen is compared to the stock sound, and how i can get it louder? also what is a y-pipe and what will it do for me, and i'm assuming free flowing cats will add hp's and sound as well???????
thanks in advance

huh? yours is a true dual - it eliminates the Y pipe.

As for getting it louder...man, its already loud But, test pipes surely would liven up the sound, most of the good high flow cats out there flow alot better than stock but don't (or shouldn't) really make it much louder

see at first i was under the impression that it was a true dual but then i went to the stillen website where i ordered it from and it said "This is a catback system." here's teh write up:
Injen Technology announces the release of its own line of high performance exhaust systems, Super SES. Injen Technology's Super SES line of exhaust systems are dyno-tuned. The Super SES exhaust system is manufactured from 100% 304 stainless steel. Each exhaust system features CNC mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing, CNC machined flanges, and robotic tig welding. Injen Technology introduces its unique flared tip design with removable stainless steel silencers. This specfic exhaust features angled tips. Actual exhaust may differ from image. This is a catback exhaust system.

The exhaust system goes engine-headers-cats-ypipe-midpipe-muffler... the injen exhaust replaces the ypipe-midpipe-muffler with two pipes that connect to the cats, thus making it dual. Why did you buy something without knowing what it is?
