Default NEW!!! Tanabe Touring Medallion Exhaust

Over this past weekend, I was fortunate enough to visit the Tanabe headquarters in Torrance, CA for fitment of a protoype Tanabe dual tip exhaust for the G35 Coupe.

This exhaust is expected to be released in Summer of 2005. I don't have too many details at this point.

The exhaust is a Y-Pipe back exhaust, but you can mate it to Tanabe's newly released y-pipe.

The muffler and mid-pipe are made of SUS304 stainless steel.

The tips are dual walled (?) constructed.

Over a stock exhaust, the Touring Medallion will give you an increase of 7 peak HP. Exact numbers and dyno graphs were not made available.

More details will come as they become available.

Now on to the pics

Sound clips will be added by middle of next week.

I would imagine that there will also be a 350Z application.

Again, I'll include more details as they become available.

Thank you,

Vinh

Looks very similar to the Tanabe Super Medallion Hyper. My guess is it is the Hyper but extended a bit for the G35.

yes, but the touring medallion has new packing material and as you can see from the tips, these are dual walled (?).

i have not seen the super medallion hyper in person, but one of the guys from Tanabe says these are the main differences between this new model and the hyper.

That looks real good. I like those tips much better than the single walled Hyper Medallion tips. I guess I'll have to wait for this one. I'm anxiously awaiting some soundclips of this or the Hyper.

Also, ReavTek, Tanabe already makes the Hyper Medallion for the G35 Coupe. TanabeUSA posted a pic of it in their big thread regarding that exhaust.

Wow, that's a pretty big tip. Is this going to be available for the 350z? Also, any sound clips or dynos? I ordered my Hyper Medallion and it should arrive by Friday so I'll try to post sound clips to compare.

hey fellas,

my camera crapped out on me so I won't be able to upload any sound clips anytime soon. I'm gonna try to get my friend's camera, but that won't be for another 2 weeks.

but I do have official piping diameter:

tips: 115 mm
piping: 70 mm
