Did the gasket help? I know with that plenum it get really hot without that gasket.

Haven't decided what color I'm gonna do the bar yet. Black, SS, or I can leave it orange.
cool, can't wait to get these installed...i was a little worried about messing with the fuel rails.

i talked to the guys at nippon and they said they use a waterjet to cut the gaskets so you get an exact copy of the originals....very nice quality

btw....your intake looks sick azz....be sure to post up dyno's

i'd go stainless too if i were you

BTW, the thermal gaskets seem to be working well. I drove to a meet on Sat. night from work and opened my hood. I layed my hand completly flat on the manifold for about 5 sec. and didn't det burned. It was def. warm but nothing like stock.

What I want to know is if the gaskets will be good for F/I applications? If it does, I will add it to my shopping cart.

I don't see why they wouldn't be.

How is the thickness of the thermal gasket compared to the stock one? Is it going to be an issue with strut bar clearance for people who have plenum spacers and have little room left?

It's thicker than the stock for sure. I have no experience with the spacers so I couldn't tell you for sure. I don't know how much room the spacers leave.

How much difference are we talking about? Was the stock gasket 1/32", 1/16"? Is the Nextgear gasket 1/8", 1/4"?

Sorry about so many questions - just trying to decide which spacer to go with. I like the idea of this thermal barrier gasket. For a long time I have though about ways to reduce the temperature of the intake.

Thanks,
Dave

I noticed that you have a NX N2O system. How does the Kinetix SSV coupled with nitrous feel to you? Better performance, HP gains/loss? Any dyno #'s with and without nitrous? Thanks.
