Did my own research to make my decision but I too chose the JWT Popcharger. Pretty much found out the same things Alang pointed out.

I have a brand new Nismo CAI for sale - $240 if anyone wants it. It was given to me as a gift but just don't want to mod my car at this time. PM me thanks!

NISMO looks great, i know a feel people that have it, but i went with the JWT since its cheap and intakes on our cars are mostly for sound, after the install i was pleased with the sound a pleasantly surprised that i noticed a slight increase in pull near redline!

I have a Nismo CAI and I don't really have any complaints...biggest difference I noticed from stock was much better sound especially above 5000. Nismo definitly looks better...if 1 horsepower is important to you then I guess get the JWT...but whatever, I'd read one of the 10,000 other threads with opinions on this...basically just get whatever you want because there really isn't a gigantic difference between any intakes in terms of gains. Or just about anything else...

How does the JWT sound at WOT? My AEM CAI fudging screams and sounds louder than an exhaust.

Does anyone know if the NISMO CAI for the 2003-2004 Z is perfectly compatible with the 2005 Z? Thanks!

Yes. Just make sure you buy the V2 (generation 2).

Depends on your goals. Spend more money for less power and only a little louder than stock, Nismo. I think you get a shiny metal tube too.
If you want the most power at the lowest cost, and the most sound, then JWT. JWT cleaning and install will be WAY faster too, so if you are very bored and lonely then get the Nismo so it takes up plenty of your time hehe j/k
JWT ftw

I think CAI is a waste of time. It adds bends to the airway creating friction and lengthens the pathway which creates a loss of power.
I found this out on a dyno last night.
Go with JWT or another Ram style intake.

If all mod decisions were based on $$$ alone, I'd be driving a Kia...

I'm glad someone said it. As for that post up above stating to get the V2 and linking to Performance's site. That is not the V2, it is the V3. I am one of the few with the V2.

JWT had the highest dyno numbers, even according to a magazine or 2. That is why I bought them. The cheap price was a welcomed bonus, considering how insane mod. prices are for our cars. As for the Stillen test pipes, I wouldn't exactly call them the cheapest... Nor is the touring model 350Z.

V1 and V3 are three piece units. The V2 is a two piece unit that doesn't utilize the OEM plastic MAF housing.

There is no proof it is better or not. You would think that the V3 would be the best since it is the newest.
