Default Where can I buy titanium exhaust tips (seperately) ?

I've searched far and wide and am having trouble sourcing titanium tips. If anyone has any ideas on price or where to get them from please pm me.

I'm not looking for an exhaust setup, just the tips.

its not easy to find, because how are you going to install them? Titanium doesnt weld to steel.

Just tips..I essentially wanted to get an exhaust like Nismo/Borla/Greddy and hack the tips to titanium.

Found these tips made by Vibrant.

http://www.vibrantperformance.com/pr...05/pg32-35.pdf

Scroll down to the last page. Looks like a Ti tip riveted to a stainless base, so you might be able to have them welded on.

Nice reference ^^. Let me know if you decide to do this mod...very good idea and something I'd be interested in doing, probably with the Borla. Pls keep us updated!

dont you guys think changing out your tips is a little ricey? i dont know it is just rubbing me the wrong way i guess. My stock tips got scraped up putting the car on a flatbed when i got in a wreck and I have been thinking of replacing the tips but I keep thinking of people saying, hey what exhaust is that. and then i explain that its stock exhaust with different tips? just sounds really cheap

First off I'm not doing it on the stock exhaust, thats just stupid. How is it ricey? Its not like I'm telling people my exhaust is full titanium. After all, the HKS is all stainless with TI tips, and you dont hear people saying anything. I'm not trying to spend $1400 on that when I can get similar if not better performance and look for half the cost.

Thanks for the tip on that website, I'll look into it. Most of the exhaust tips out on aftermarket exhaust are ugly so I'll end up doing this soon depending one which exhaust I get.

I see your point conceyted but I agree, I see nothing wrong with it (Greddys the same) and thinks it's a great idea.

Called and the tips from Vibrant from a local distributor go for $45 each fyi. Thinking of throwing them on a Borla. Anybody familiar with Borla foresee a problem?

Is our exhaust piping 2.25" or 2.5". If it is 2.5" that will be a problem, those tips would not be big enough.

Wouldn't be possible to just heat the tips and Blue them.

Look at the pipes on a lot of bikes near the head or many headers for that matter. The heat has turned them blue.

Take a torch to those tips (with the tips off the car!) and get creative. I'm not guaranteeing that it will work but, if you plan on putting new tips on any ways, if it does not turn out the way you want you can cover it up.

If it works, you saved money on the tips and you can say you fabricated your own tips.
