Froggy...

Marketplace... nuf'said $225 shipped! I installed them this past weekend and I'm happy with the results. Whatever you decide, get them JETHOT coated. I didn't realize how important it was until just recently, when I talked with a few pros about longevity of SS headers.

Froogy, I got mine from a user by the name "Topspeedjason" who used to work there. Unfortunately, he no longer works there and I think he changed his user name here. He might answer on the thread. He told me he can still get them for people (has access to them). I can tell you I got them for $300 shipped and in perfect new condition and very fast. The install went perfect and the shop was very impressed (vs a set of Stillens they had there) with the workmanship.

The coatings not worth the $225 for a header that runs at half the temp. and that last 10x longer than a non-coated one. O'yea...304 stainless doesn't pit or corrode either... It's impervious to all other elements on earth...

Maybe you should find a T-316 grade header...
304 contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel. 316 contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel and 2% molybdenum. The "moly" is added to help resist corrosion to chlorides (like sea water and de-icing salts)

Don't get me wrong either... Obviously the T-304 grade stainless is a great material for exhaust applications. IMO though, why not make it better before you spend the time or money installing the product! I never plan on touching them again...

Why don't you think about what you just said. I wonder what Jethot has to gain by convincing an inexperienced shopper that you NEED their product .

Half the temp? Pit and corrode? Guess they told you this too.

Let me guess, this is one of your first header installs? News flash. Headers get hot. I've installed headers over 10 years ago (some made of 409 stainless steel) that still look perfect. And this is on race cars! Hey, sticking your dong in the bunghole of the header decreases the temperature the header emits

Wow, I think somebody needs to take a nap. It's nappy time Mr. Grouchy who did a header install 10yrs ago. News flash for yourself, times have changed and there are new products out there that improve things. You should get out of the old folks home every once in a while

I'll let "them" speak for themselves.

I really don't care what you think about the coatings. I did it for multiple reasons on top of longevity. And yes, stainless steel does pit and corrode. I have multiple kitchen and bathroom products that are German and Japanese made that are pitting and corroding because of regular soap or salt. It's minimal and only because of impurities in the metal, but fact is fact my friend.

And no... Jethot didn't tell me about header longevity in general. It was someone very respected in the Z industry who is known nationally for doing every kind of mod install imaginable.

Take a nap...you just may pass away or DISSOLVE...

for an additional $99 you can get better quality, performance, an easier install and a 2 year warranty by going with Strup headers!

feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

at this time, the vendors special I have listed is the best we can do. We are working closely with Charlie at Strup to agree on these prices, and right now, that's the best we can do on a set that lists at $758.00.

out of curiosity, is Alphawerks offering a 2 year warranty? So if ANYTHING goes wrong with your headers during that timeframe, simply return them directly to Strup for an even exchange of a new set?

obviously I laced that reply with a sales pitch ;o), but I am seriously curious as to how some of these other guys, like Topspeed, etc. are backing their products. Are they simply undercutting the entire market by providing a similar product, or do they stand behind their product with quality and customer service?

inquiring minds want to know.. ;o)
